The 190th Cadet Wing is the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) detachment at the Urbana-Champaign campus and Parkland College and is one of only three detachments in the state of Illinois. The detachment is located in the southwest corner of the Armory. The program is typically four years long and culminates with a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force shortly after graduation.

Unlike the other services' Reserve Officer Training Corps, cadets of Det 190 wear their uniforms to classes on Tuesday. The Air Force cadets undergo physical training (PT) early Tuesday and Thursday mornings on the Armory floor or outside, participate in a leadership laboratory Tuesday Mornings at 0545, and optional practice Sunday evenings. They also have additional PT sessions throughout the week.

The current professor of aerospace studies is Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Kauffman.
