Bronze Tablets
From U of I Wiki
The Bronze Tablets are a collection of bronze plaques on the Urbana-Champaign campus that are engraved with the names of students who achieve a minimum cumulative 3.5 grade point average and rank in the top three percent of their graduating class. The tablets date from 1925 to the present year and hang in the main hallway of the campus's Main Library.
The university began offering a database-powered website of the students' names and images of the tables in May 2008. Visiting Librarian David Vess created the website. The Illini Union Bookstore sells high-quality prints of the tablets.
