English Building
From U of I Wiki
The English Building is a campus building located at 608 S. Wright Street on The Quad north of Lincoln Hall and south of the Henry Administration Building.
Constructed in 1905 as the Womens Building, housing female dorms as well as a gymnasium and swimming pool, before being converted to classrooms for the English Department. Back when lady Illini called the building home, legend has it one of the residents drowned in the pool. Some claimed it an accident, others call it a suicide after she found out she was pregnant. Whatever the reason, her ghost is said to still haunt the building and has been known to mess with electricity and open/close doors. Whether it's just a story circulated by creative writing students or a real tale of grief we're not sure, but the legend is well known by all those who attend the school.
The girls bathroom is haunted. And dont even think about taking this down because it is true.
