Freer Hall is located at 906 S. Goodwin Ave. in Urbana. Originally known as the Women's Gymnasium, it was designed by architect Charles A. Platt and was completed in 1931. Freer Hall is east of and across Goodwin Avenue from Bevier Hall. It is also part of the Division of Campus Recreation and houses a full swimming pool, gym, and locker room and shower facilities. The Freer Hall is placed on the National Register of Historic Places and is also home to the Department of Kinesiology.
