Classrooms

Basement

Most of the undergraduate classrooms are located in the basement level or the ground level. These include the moderately-sized lecture halls (about 100 students) in rooms 23 and 32. 9, 13, 17, 21, 29, and 31 are smaller classrooms often used for discussion sections or sections of similar size. 27 is a small room used for some graduate discussions; it may be hard to find as it is across from the second entrance to 23. Rooms 35 and 37 are psychology labs and each has several, small rooms around its sides. Each of these side rooms has a computer and are used for human experimentation. All of the aforementioned (except 27, which is off to a side) can be found along a hallway looping around the north half of the ground floor. The basement is accessible from the outside at the north side of the building.

First Floor

There are fewer classrooms on the first floor. A large amount of the floor space is used by the eight-story high atrium, also called the Center Courtyard. Occasionally there will be presentations held in the atrium but no regular classes.

Higher Floors

There are some classrooms on the second floor. Most of the classrooms above the first floor are small discussion rooms for graduate students.

Other Facilities

Basement

The basement has a small student lounge with computers accessible to anyone. This is across from the Psychology Advising Office in room 10. There are vending machines toward the interior of the building and numerous bulletin boards informing psychology students about campus and departmental events. The shops and maintenance facilities and some child research labs are in the southern half of the ground level.

First Floor

The Center Courtyard takes up a large amount of space on the first floor. The ceiling is eight stories high and has windows arranged in a grid. Offices on the interior of the building have large windows overlooking the atrium.

Higher Floors

The building's office, departmental mailboxes, department head's office, and PSYC 100 subject pool coordinator's office are on the third floor. There are computer labs on the second and fourth floors, but these require a psychology login.

Faculty have offices on the third through eigth floors. If the office is in the interior of the building it will have a large office overlooking the atrium; if the office is on the exterior it will have a large window overlooking Sixth Street or Daniel Street. There are several research labs on the higher floors.
