South Quad

The South Quad, also known as the "Business Quad" lies just south of the Undergraduate Library and Gregory Dr. and north of Florida Ave. There are several buildings on the South Quad, including the Mumford House, Wohlers Hall, David Kinley Hall, Architecture Building, and Mumford Hall. Because of the vast amount of space, the South Quad is a very popular place for students to get together to play all kinds of sports. Additionally, the Marching Illini will occasionally practice on the very southern field. Lately, as of Fall 2008, construction of the McFarland Memorial Bell Tower has started near the middle of the South Quad, limiting space for fun.
