Spurlock Museum

The Spurlock Museum is located at 600 S Gregory St in Urbana in between the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. It is a cultural museum which celebrates our shared humanity by collecting, preserving, documenting, exhibiting, and studying objects of cultural heritage.

Facilities
- The museum has five feature galleries inside which house exhibits representing peoples of the following cultures and geographic areas of the world: Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, and Africa; Ancient Greece and Rome; East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania; Europe; and American Indian Cultures of North and South America.
- The Campbell Gallery, featuring exhibits that change twice a year.
- The 215-seat Knight Auditorium, site of lectures by local and visiting scholars as well as performances by musicians, dancers, actors, storytellers, and choral groups.
- The Dene W. and Marie C. Zahn Learning Center is a multipurpose space designed to support independent learning as well as program activities. Resources include computers with online access and a small specialized library for browsing. Visitors of all ages enjoy engaged learning through access to teaching artifacts, computer interactives, games, crafts, and more. Public hours vary.
- The World Heritage Museum Guild Educational Resource Center, the source of a wide assortment of educational materials for instructors.
